ROMANS 13:1 tells us that "the powers that be are ordained of God." (KJV) MATTHEW 28:18 says: "All authority has been given to Me [Jesus] in heaven and on Earth." Although it takes a lot of GENUINE FAITH to accept sometimes, the FACT is God is working out his purposes on the earth and his purposes include scientific developments. The rich and powerful think they are "running the show," and would, no doubt, be highly offended to hear the real truth that they really are only being used to accomplish God's purposes ". . . till He has put all enemies under His feet" (1 CORINTHIANS 15:25).
JAMES 4&5 Shows us that God is concerned EVEN about the rich. Given the fact that God is ". . . not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance" (2 PETER 3:9), a very plausible explanation of REVELATION 22:11-12 to those with ungodly proclivities is: "go ahead, bring it on, intensify your ungodly lusts, get it out of your system!" But, be warned, God is coming in judgment and you better be ready when HE comes!
This discussion is an attempt to provide hope that at least the wisest among the rich and powerful may be "seeing the light." Unfortunately, like many self important, deluded (2THESS. 2:11) "religious leaders" most of them will continue on to perdition. Surely a chosen few will do God's will, BUT BEWARE, ALL LATTER DAY DATE SETTER PROPHETS ARE FALSE TEACHER/ANTICHRISTS (2Pet. 2, 1John. 2:18) WHO MUST REPENT OR PERISH! DON'T BELIEVE THEM!!! |
