The Colonial Navy of Massachusetts
The Massachusetts Colonial Navy, the states Revolutionary War naval militia, activated in 1967 by act of the legislature to continue the heritage of the old revolutionary war unit in 1775. The purpose of the current CNM is to teach history and keep alive the state's rich musical and naval traditions.
